Saturday 31st July

During a late afternoon walk with Ollie today, it was a lovely surprise to see a SILVER WASHED FRITILLARY flutter past whilst walking along Laurel Walk - a first for the park! Other wildlife seen included: 1 Brown Hawker, 2 Treecreeper, 1 Blackcap, 2 Chiff Chaff, 1 Goldcrest, 4 Red Admiral, 3 Meadow Browns, and lots of Gatekeeper and Small and Essex Skippers.

Well done Simon on the SW Frit - had only my 2nd on patch in Barming yesterday - seems to be a good year for them! Definetly worth submitting sighting on http://www.kentbutterflies.org/ if you haven't already done so.
