The temperature was very cool during my walk in the park today.
Only a Speckled Wood was the only butterfly seen, but lots of Migrant Hawkers and a couple of Southern Hawkers were noted flying around the parkland trees.
The best bird seen was a Hobby, which was hunting House Martins and Swifts above the old Oak west of Mote House. Other birds noted were 6 Goldcrests, 1 Treecreeper, 2 Stock Dove, 2 Jay, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 2 Cormorant flew west, a Blackcap was heard singing, and 1 Chiff Chaff and 1 Coal Tit were heard.
