Fox
The first animal to be noted was this Fox, which was seen in the old horse paddock by the old Walled Garden.
5 Goldcrest were seen, 2 Coal Tits were singing along Laurel Walk, 5 Nuthatch were heard calling and singing, 4 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were noted, 2 Treecreepers were heard, a Sparrowhawk could be heard calling from the wood on the site of the old mill along the Len, a Green Woodpecker was feeding in the short grass at the top of the area of rough grassland, a flock of at least 30 Siskin were seen in the Alders along the River Len, and a Redpoll was spotted flying over the Alder Carr along the Len – my first recorded since 2007.
2 Little Grebes were noted along the Len, 2 Kingfishers were seen between the 2 bridges along the Len, and 3 Grey Herons were seen.
At the feeding area on the Lake were 13 Canada Geese, 2 Mute Swans, and the various Mallards and hybrid ducks. On the main area of the Lake were 4 Tuftie and 6 Pochards, and at the eastern stretch of the Lake were 2 Great Crested Grebes. The gull flock on the Lake numbered at least 65 Black-headed Gulls and 9 Common Gulls.

Well done Simon, TWO Firecrests! Always a good feeling to get a patch tick, and what a good one to get. They are quite difficult to photograph though!
