I was free to visit the Park this morning. A shower meant I got wet half-way through the walk, but despite this it was a gorgeous autumn morning to be out!
Goldcrest numbers continue to be high with 8 birds being recorded, 17 Redwing were seen, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard, 2 Coal Tits were calling, a Nuthatch and 1 Treecreeper was heard, and birds flying over included 1 Meadow Pipit, 1 Reed Bunting, 2 Pied Wagtails, and both Redpoll and Siskin.
The gull flock on the Lake held 2 Mediterranean Gulls amongst the 6 Common and 67+ Black-headed Gulls. 2 Great Crested Grebes and 3 Mute Swans were also noted, but no winter ducks yet.
