6 Goldcrests were noted, 5 Green Woodpecker were seen, at least 15 Siskin were seen, 2 Jay were by the Old Walled Garden, 4 Nuthatch were heard calling, 6 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were drumming, 2 Treecreepers were heard singing, a Coal Tit was spotted in an Alder along the River Len, 2 Sparrowhawk flew over by the old carriage bridge, a male Bullfinch showed briefly as it flew across Laurel Walk, and 2 Stock Dove were heard. A Grey Heron, 1 Grey Wagtail and 2 Kingfisher were seen along the River Len, and a Cormorant was perched on the island next to the Weir.
Mistle Thrush
Birds of particular note on the Lake were 7 Great Crested Grebes, 5 Tufted Duck, 9 Canada Geese, 2 Barnacle Geese - the second time I have recorded these in the Park - and 2 Mute Swans.
The gull flock contained at least 147 Black-headed Gulls, 1 Herring Gull, at least 54 Common Gulls and at least 12 Mediterranean Gulls.
Also noted were the first Daffodils flowering.
