Dunnock
9 Chiff Chaff were heard singing, 5 Goldcrest were noted, 7 Great Spotted Woodpeckers were seen and heard, 4 Nuthatch were seen, 3 Treecreeper were heard, 3 Blackcap were singing, 5 Green Woodpeckers were seen, a male Sparrowhawk flew over the River Len, 2 Pheasants called, 5 Jay were seen, 2 Pied Wagtails were spotted flying south, a Siskin flew east, 7 Stock Dove were noted, and bird of the day – a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker – which was heard drumming on one of the Oaks on the golf course. I haven’t heard or seen a Lesser Spotted Woodpecker yet this spring and I was beginning to worry that 2008 was their last year in the Park, so locating this bird today is a big relief!!
Starling
A Grey Heron could be seen in the marsh area, 2 Kingfisher and 2 Grey Wagtail were spotted along the River Len, 3 Cormorants were perched on the island next to the Weir, and a Little Egret was hunting along the “un-named” stream.
Little Egret
Birds of particular note on the Lake were 6 Great Crested Grebes, 7 Canada Geese, 3 Tufted Duck, and 2 Mute Swans. The gull flock contained at least 60 Black-headed Gulls, 8 Common Gulls, 9 adult summer plumaged Mediterranean Gulls, 1 adult Herring Gull, and 2 adult Lesser Black-backed Gulls.Wood Anemone
Several Bumblebees and Honeybees were seen.

PS how about calling the 'un-named' stream, The Egret Stream ?
